Inverness - Capital of The Highlands

One of Europe’s fastest growing cities, ranked 5th out of 189 British cities for such a high quality of life; one of the best cities Scotland can offer!
Situated at the mouth of the River Ness, which connects to the famous Loch Ness.  There are several pleasant walks to take around the Lochs and in the forested hills of Craig Phadraig and Craig Dunain.
Awarded city status in 2000 by the Queen and renowned for its old stone buildings and floral displays.
Plenty to see and do, Inverness has three major golf courses, ice rink, leisure centre, indoor climbing wall, cycling or leisurely trips on a barge.
The Eastgate shopping centre in the heart of the city offers plenty of department stores, restaurants and outdoor entertainment at the Falcon Square.


Inverness castle is situated on a low cliff overlooking the River Ness and is thought to have featured in Shakespears Macbeth.  There have also been alleged sightings of King Duncan along the banks of the river.
